New medical techniques and devices have made it possible for surgeons to create a breast than can come close in form and appearance to matching a natural breast. The reconstruction can be done by inserting an implant at the time of mastectomy or at a later stage. Where there is inadequate skin envelope, a temporary devise called a tissue expander is first inserted and serially inflated to expand the skin. Sometimes this objective is achieved by transferring muscle and skin from the back as a flap to cover the underlying implant. Breast reconstruction can also be performed by using the patient’s own tissues from the abdomen in the TRAM flap technique described elsewhere.
		Male Breast Reduction Surgery Gynecomastia is a medical term that comes from the Greek words for “women-like breasts.” Though this oddly named condition is rarely talked about, it’s actually quite common.
